At Frame Up our workshop is equipped with state of the art machinery and operated by highly skilled staff with years of experience.  This guarantees precision and quality workmanship. The procedure of framing involves the selection and cutting of a mount which compliments both the picture and the frame. Choosing the right frame is essential and we have a wide variety of designs, colours, materials and prices from which to choose.

Mountboard
Mountboard is used for the preservation and the presentation of your work, it enhances the art and creates a gap between the piece to be framed and the glass. Our range of conservation mountboards are all acid free, we have a comprehensive choice of colours whilst being fade, bleed and age resistant.

Glass
There are many different glass and perspex options available when glazing frames. It divides into products that offer protection from harmful ultra violet rays (artificial and natural) and those that offer clear viewing. Colour fading is by far the most common damage that occurs and it cannot be repaired. By using glazing with a UV filter it is possible to block out over 95% of UV radiation, thus preserving family heirlooms and ensuring investments retain their value.

Vacuum Hot Press
At Frame Up we offer the service of the vacuum hot press. This is the process of bonding pictures to a backing board and is used to prevent cockling (ie where a picture appears not to lie flat) in a frame and enhances larger prints and photographs.
